10-75 IN A NEW LAW TENEMENT

Box 1675, 251 Stone Ave, Liberty Ave to East New York Ave, was transmitted for a fire on the first floor of a four story new law tenement.  Upon arrival members of Squad 252 were ordered to the top floor by the incident commander.  A heavy smoke condition existed throughout the building and numerous occupants were found panicing on the rear fire escapes.  As members made their way to the top floor a report was received advising fire extension to the second floor.  First due companies quickly knocked down fire on the 1st and 2nd floor.  Numerous doors were forced on the top floor and searches were conducted in the apartments.  All occupants were removed safely from the fire escapes.
